Westley Ulit, aka Basic Blink, is an electronic music producer from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. He started making beats back in 2007 on an MPC 1000 while attending college. He formed Mix Dot Exe with his friend Paul Echiverri (Paul Elswho). Today he continues to produce beats, as well as progress with his friend/bandmate Justin Corral in their band called ‘Yourself In Peace‘

Midnight Deep is Basic Blink’s summer 2012 release. It includes his latest electronic productions that cover more of a darker tone of expression. The influences in this release include a mixture of uptempo (Baltimore club, bass, grime) with half-bpm beats. In it’s simplistic definition Midnight Deep achieves a more evil/spacey take on electronic production while keeping the aesthetic of having groovey beat music.
