Solid Steel Mix – Diplo 2003

Way way back like 2003 or something. Diplo gave me his Dad’s FTP to upload some stuff. So I put up some tracks then snuck around a bit and found this. It’s a mix Wes did before “Never Scared” it’s like the protoype for never scared more street, less 80’s, more rare groove. I asked him about this and he doesn’t really remember making it. Have a good Weekend!!! *** update: it’s the solidsteel mix, yeah?

So far this is just like the Solid Steel mix from 2003 which is how I first discovered Diplo, B-more and Dirty South. Happy days.

yeah it’s the solid steel mix. i remember it was just called holler.mp3 on the indianmoundfishcamp ftp. it had the updated but not bmore thingamajawn on it before the 7″ was released that i used to blast out the community center’s windows. the limb by limb aca over the pauvres riches remix instru was the hardest! big dada really fucked up not putting that instru on the 12″

I remember listening to a Diplo Solid Steel show where Nina Sky moved into Elephant Man’s Jook Gal which blended into Daft Punk’s Around the World – I loved that cheesy shit, can you get that online?
