WMC WRAP UP

OK so this is Jasper via Paul’s account- I think Im detoxed enough to do the WMC wrap up now. Whats up to all the homies and everybody we hung out with in Miami. That was some seriously fun shit- I dont know if it kills sxsw like everybody said (thats just cause y’all are some paid ass djs staying in plush hotels on the beach for free and/or on that scion tit and loving the milk- it’s all about perspective dudes). Anyway, I need to get my camera fixed so I dont have to rely on other folks, but we got some good flicks here courtesy of the Woodman, Roxy, and Drew from Miami.
Mad Decent crew- myself, Blaqstarr, his cousin Dukie, Dirty South Joe, Sega and Nick The V- got down there on thursday night, and checked into our wicked South Beach condo. Word to craigslist and our man Lance who rented us the place- as DSJ said he was like that one dealer dude in Boogie Nights, all that was missing was the Chinese kid running around with firecrackers. Awesome place and he got us “whatever you want.” That night we hit up the Bass Sessions party at Nocturnal, then the Dubsided party next door- both of them mad fun.
This was from the Thursday night Turntable Lab party at Suite. The whole thing was a little messed up - big room was earbleedingly loud and mixed with half look at my tribal tatoo spring breakers and half look at my neon zubaz pants kids, the line was crazy to get in (cant really be mad at a packed party but it sucks when your friends get turned away), and the full “party” was actually split between two clubs making it impossible to go back and forth, but damn if we didnt have a helluva time in our little side room with all the bros going crazy behind the dj booth and Eli setting off a one for one marathon of late 80s and 90s hip hop. Look at happy as fuck chia pet Cosmo!
Shout to Blu Jemz, Eli, Lloydski, Woodman, Michna, Mike B, Contra, Induce, Cosmo, Naeem, Gaslamp, Gina Turner (esp for iphone charger!), Ross One, Lax, Louisah, Terry and whoever else was hanging back there. Also shouts to the throwback crew with the gold chains and hightop fades- yall didnt really get your time frames right on what dances or clothes go with what year or songs, but your enthusiasm is appreciated. That was one of the best times I had all week. I see you Roxy!
The next day we got our highly anticipated WMC promo items: Mad Decent x Mishka x Turntable Lab Uzi Squirtguns! Im sure you all saw the pics of em in the box. The following is some of what happened when we unleashed em at the Scion party at the Raleigh pool the next day. So after running around all day giving out squirt guns, helping get the party all set up, hitting the beach with my boy Joplus for like 10 minutes and carting people around in the rental, we were ready for the main event: Mad Decent vs Turntable Lab Warehouse Party! Brought to you with the help of Jen Lyon at Mean Red and the dude Jake Jefferson, with Xavier, Blu Jemz, Lax, Induce, and a bunch of other folks on the help out.
The outside was pretty awesome all night. Love the ladder to nowhere.
This guy showed up in a crushed velour suit with no shirt on and danced his ass off for about 20 minutes.
Spot the bros! I personally like Jemz face the best. Santogold was too sleepy to show up for a 2sm slot, but unannounced super guest Eli Escobar came in and killed it like the true ringer he is.

Drop The Lime is my fuckin man. This guy dj’ed like all night then showed up at our party 5:30 am, just as promised, and completely destroyed the place before we all had to call it a night - Star Eyes on the tag team. Thanks to everybody who came out and everybody else who played- Sabo, Matt Cash & Alex, Small Change, Gaslamp Killer, Cosmo Baker, South Rakkas Crew, Bart Bmore and DJ Sega. Part 2 coming soon with audio from the dj sets and more pictures! Lets Goooooooooo! PS: I got peer pressured into one more daying it thanks to Andy, Lloyd and Jemz. Haha you dropped your phone in the pool.

that snatch & suite splitting the party up on two levels thing was such bullshit…didnt even get to see sega, eli anyone! did peep a-trak an co tho…

mad decent held it down super hard. best time of the week, and my friends who were not in attendance are extra jealous. snatch/suite split sucked, BAN the beach!

great time walked in right when sabo was getting started.. mad props to everyone cosmo, GLK, lloydski, spank rock etc… and it was my b day couldent have had a sicker party! cant wait till the next one.
