Random Duey Does Texas

March 14, 2010 | 8:39 PM

As everyone packs their bags and gets ready to head to Austin for the week long boozathon known as SXSW 2010, our dude Duey FM (aka System D-128) has already beaten us to the punch. He's been chilling down in Texas since Christmas. Here are a few of his crazy finds from the Lone Star state...

While I was in Austin I spent a lot of time at the Friends Of Sound Record Store looking for Heat! I found a tight copy of Media Music #12 and a Press Photo of Lou Champagne System.

I also spent some time at one of the illest video stores in America.
I Sh*t you not...I ♥ VIDEO.

They have been around since 1984 and have accumulated all kinds of crazy rare videotapes and movies. They had a copy of Creepers on Videotape. The VHS cover is so much more nasty than the DVD Release, which was renamed Phenomena.

Plus they had a copy of the DVD that me and Diplo are on, Well Deep, right next to the DVDs of Wattstax and Wave Twisters…Out of Control!!

If you never saw the Video Megamix I did on the DVD, here ya' go:

Check out these photos and please support your local record and video stores y'all.

I also shopped at Fiesta. I get some of my shirts outside the Fiesta on Sundays. They have a outside market that pops off.

Here's a picture of my room in Austin.

The girl passed out on the bed is Lezlie. She let me stay with her and her roommate Katrina, so I was on some Three's Company Shit for almost two months. The dog in the picture is Gus.

He's like 15 years old and still doing it big. Here's a 'lil edit I did of Gus with a Super VHS Camera that my homie Kelley Franklin sent me. Enjoy "A Day in the Life of Gussa Gus"
